Are Magic Bullet Blenders Worth It?

The question of whether a product (such as the Magic Bullet Blender) is worth someone buying it, spending their hard earned money on it, and depending upon it to do what it promises is always something that is highly individual and opinionated. The consumer who is money conscious, which is most of us now with the recession, will be cautions, deliberate, and know the market well. They will know what the consumer rating report is for each item they are looking at and they will know what other consumers have said about the product. They will have watched the infomercials to know what the creators are claiming their product can do, and they will know exactly how it will fit into their lives. That being said, there is no right or wrong answer to whether an appliance is worth paying the price for it. It all comes down to the questions of: do you need it and how often will you use it?

There are many people on both sides of this fence for the Magic Bullet Blender®. The customers who were not convinced were the people who said that the blender could never be run for more than a minute solid. That, however, was a condition talked about in the owner’s manual, so preparing for that limitation could be easily done, as opposed to seeing it as a limitation. They also said that it was less powerful than other blenders, however, if it was; it would not be able to chop foot within 10 seconds when it takes other blenders a bit longer than that to do the same thing. There was a concern that it could only serve one person at a time but with cups that range in volume from 12 ounces to 20 ounces and a maximum blending time of 10 seconds, it would be very quickly solved by making sure all the ingredients are out and ready when the cups are. One customer complained that it has to be regularly cleaned. Hopefully, it is regularly cleaned because illnesses and bacteria can become of unwashed dishes. Finally, a customer wrote that it only lasted 3 years for them, but that they did not have any major problems with it. The power base just stopped working. Any appliance has a shelf life, nothing can last forever.

The customers who loved the machine said that it was small enough to fit in their tiny apartment kitchen without having to be put away all of the time. This made them happy because it took away little precious space in their kitchen and their cooking did not have to suffer because of it. Another thing the customer liked was that there was one speed, instead of several, which could be frustrating or even confusing, if one did not know the difference between puree and chop.

The question remains, for the savvy customer to decide whether this product will fit into their kitchen or not. It all depends upon how often one will use it, what it will be used for, and if it will make cooking easier for the owner.
